Generally speaking, the classifications used for Austrian wines represent different “quality designations”. They range from Tafelwein (table wine) to Trockenbeerenauslese (really sweet wine), with many in between. When describing why a wine falls into a certain category in terms of its technical sweetness, we will refer to its KMW.
