Vorderseiber Smaragd Riesling was grown in sandy soils, picked on the 7th and 8th of November—actually nothing unusual for wines of this caliber in the Wachau. The juice spent six hours on the skins, leading in to the temperature-controlled fermentation. The wine stayed on the lees until bottling at the end of April.
