Cantine Garrone Munaloss Vino Rosso 2014
The Munaloss is always fresh and young with a brilliant ruby red color, hints of local fruits, harmonious slightly tannic taste and good structure.
Val d'Ossola is Piemonte Region's northern most valley carved from the Alps by the Toce River. The Toce and its tributaries create five valleys which empty into Lake Maggiore. The sandy damp soil of the valley floor is not well suited for agriculture so the local population gravitated to the sunny southern slopes of the mountainsides, an ideal wine growing environment with its day and night temperature shifts resulting in slow maturation of the grapes with extraordinary aromas. This is a very intense region to work in and all of it must be done by hand by a few dedicated farmers.
