Easkoot Temperance Rose 2018
Dedicated harvest and pressing (i.e. not saignee). Grapes hail from the Chileno Valley Vineyard in West Marin's Petaluma Gap, which is cooled by ocean breezes and a rolling fog that comes in almost every afternoon like clockwork, and a bit of Carignan sourced from an 80-year-old vineyard nestled up against the bench of the eastern Ukiah Valley. Fermented in steel, 2 month rest in neutral oak barrels.
The Easkoot Temperance rose shows an earthy nose of graphite, grapefruit and orange marshmallow with good salinity on the palate, fresh grapefruit, orange flesh and vibrant acidity.
