Gassner
Gassner Blauer Zweigelt 2015
$ 24.50
From the Gassner's first non-private vintage. An intensive purple, structured and subtle example of Zweigelt with fine notes of tobacco, matured tannins, and a complex finish. An elegant bouquet of ripe blackberry and currant.
Until 2015, Robert and Marianne Gassner purely made wine for themselves and their family from their 3 hectare parcel of old vines at their 16th century winery in Rust on the shore of Lake Neusiedl. Since the winery inception everything has been done by hand utilizing biodynamic preparations and an emphasis not only on health but climate awareness. In this vintage the same care was used but it was not yet Demeter certified.
