Rodaro Pinot Grigio DOC 2013

A light, dry white with notes that are floral and full of stone fruits. Perfect every day.

A floral bouquet whose highlights include acacia & lime tree, ripe melon, together with stone fruits such as peach and apricot. Dry, medium body, medium acidity, balanced with prevailing exotic fruit notes, a nice minerality and just a hint of nutmeg. Elegant & persistent finish.

region Friuli

The northeastern corner of Italy offers a wealth and variety of climates and landscapes, cultures and traditions, all out of proportion to its modest area. Located at the crossroads between central Europe, Slavic eastern Europe and the Italian penninsula, Friuli has enjoyed a very rich history, one where many different cultural groups have contributed.
Finesse and complexity are hallmarks of its excellent white wines, which have in the past decades earned themselves an international reputation.

Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC

Viticulture has flourished here since the days of ancient Rome, in the wine region now known as Friuli-Venizia Giulia. Best known for its white wines, the varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Verduzzo, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco and Ribolla Giallo play a supporting role to the primary grape-type, the Friuliano (formerly known as Tocai). Merlot is the leading red wine variety, although new plantations of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Pignolo, Refosco, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso and Schioppettino have led to a total surface of 35% under vines producing red wine. Fhe area of Corno di Rosazzo, within the DOC Colli Orientali del Friuli, is famous for its terroir, rich in arenaceous and marn-clay, that gives an unmistakable flavor to the wines.
