Extra Brut sparkling wine from Folle Blanche and Chardonnay following the traditional method and offering incredible value.



80% Folle Blanche from old (50 years) vines with 20% Chardonnay grow separately on clay loam over mica shist and are harvested carefully by hand, pressed and co-fermented on its native yeasts in tank. The wine further undergoes the traditional method and develops on its lees for 18 months before disgorgement. A delicate and fresh extra brut sparkling wine with fine aromas of flowers and white fruits, lightness and good balance offering incredible value.

Loire Valley

Covering 87 different AOCs, the Loire Valley is known for a fresh and fruity wine style, paired with crisp flavors. Some of the best known AOCs of France can be found in this region, including Sancerre, Chinon, Muscadet Sevre et Maine and Pouilly-Fume.

The region is dominated by the variety's Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Melon de Bourgogne ("Muscadet") for whites and by Cabernet Franc, Gamay and Pinot Noir for reds. Next to still wines, the Loire Valley is also the second-largest producer of sparkling wines in France.


Sevre et Maine

"The Muscadet-Sevre et Maine sub-appellation is the most productive and notable region of Muscadet, producing more than three-quarters of the region's entire production. (In contrast, the Muscadet-Coteaux de la Loire AOC only produces around 20% of the amount of wine of Muscadet-Sevre et Maine) In fact, more AOC Muscadet-Sevre et Maine is produced on a yearly basis than in any other single AOC in the entire Loire Valley.

The appellation is located east and south around the city of Nantes and is named after the rivers Sevre and Maine that flow through it. Vineyard soil composition varies throughout the region and can range from the granite and schist hillsides around the village of Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine to the predominately clay based soils of Vallet.

The most ideally situated vineyards are located around the villages of La Chapelle-Heulin, St-Fiacre, Vallet and Vertou Around 45% of the wine made Muscadet-Sevre et Maine is aged sur lie. The wines made in this style tend to be slightly fuller body and can have some of the texture and mouthfeel of a white Bourgogne AOC. Well made examples will have a balance of fruit, acidity and texture."
