First, there was Easkoot Cellars, named after the first land surveyor of Marin and the creek that runs adjacent to Stinson Beach in Marin. Grapes are sourced from cool climate sites centered off the Petaluma Gap. Easkoot wines have the innate potential to age and demand contemplation. Our sister label, Foggy Bottom, focuses on wines with the same ideology, made by our same winemaker, but intended for immediate enjoyment and everyday drinking. Still food-appropriate, still restrained in alcohol, balanced by those cool weather sites, Foggy Bottom wines are fun and easy to enjoy. in the 2022 vintage, we sourced fruit from the Russian River AVA. A blend of clones: 115, 777 2A and 667 grown in clay and loam soils give it a juicier side. Notes of forest floor, hints of fine spice and dark berried fruit.
