Easkoot Scuttlebutt Chardonnay 2016
Harvested mid September with excellent levels of acidity the wine went through malolactic fermentation to soften some of that verve. Meticulously hand sorted and selected fruit. This is 95% Chardonnay with 5% Pinot Blanc that grows mixed in the rows at Devil's Gulch Vyd in Nicasio. A super cool site, it is traditionally low yielding and produces aromatic and intense fruit. Native yeast only, one year on the lees for added texture and richness and aging in Austrian Stockinger barrels. Low sulphur additions at bottling.
