Portraying the true natural philosophy of Maurizio Tornesi (minimal intervention, organic farming, indigenous yeasts...) this Rosso Di Montalcino hails from a generally steeper vineyard site in the center of the Montalcino appellation and right next to Biondi-Santi. Made with fruit that does not make their Brunello, the unique vineyard qualities produce a generous, fruit forward and juicy Sangiovese Grosso with less concentration and ripeness. The wine undergoes 6 months aging in new and neutral French barriques to round out the palate and add a layer of warm spice complexity above the classical bold Tornesi notes. Organically farmed.
