Winemaker friends Michael Linke and Franz Hofbauer set out to produce radically different wines in the Wachau valley, wines that they rightfully describe as old-fashioned, wines that had not been tasted young in a few generations. By revitalizing vineyards that others deemed too difficult to cultivate, like the Ried Brandstatt, the duo were able to gain access to ancient vines, cooler micro climates and to work these vineyards following strict biodynamic principles.

The 2021 is vibrant and juicy, with nectarine, grapefruit, savory mineral and herbal aromas and flavors. Well-focused and structured, beautifully knit and richly spiced.
