Domaine de la Croisee

Tucked into the limestone slopes of Tracy-sur-Loire, Domaine de la Croisee is a rising star in the Pouilly-Fume appellation. Owners Nolwenn and Matthieu Maudry rescued the 8.5-hectare estate in 2019, restoring its vineyards to health through meticulous, organic farming. Sauvignon Blanc vines, rooted in clay, marl, and flint-rich soils, yield fruit of striking purity and character. Cover crops, natural compost, and hand-tending preserve biodiversity and soil vitality, while hand harvesting ensures each cluster reaches the cellar in pristine condition.

Winemaking here is as restrained as it is attentive. Fermentations rely exclusively on indigenous yeasts, with each parcel vinified separately to highlight the nuances of its terroir. Minimal sulfur, light or no filtration, and extended lees contact create wines with layered texture and expressive minerality. .

Domaine de la Croisse's deep respect for the land, commitment to organics and deft work in the cellar are truly thrilling. A compelling new voice emerges from the Loire.
