A wine that is ready to drink now but will continue to reward for years to come. Late picked grapes showing their full potential of ripe and perfectly balanced fruit from the best grapes grown biodynamically by Michael Linke and Franz Hofbauer in their best plots on the formidable Bruck vineyard. The Brucke is the steepest vineyard in the Spitzer Graben, the coolest region of the Wachau but one with near perfect orientation. The extreme nature of its rock terraces means all work must be done by hand. The meticulous clusters, never any botrytis, were whole cluster pressed and the juice was spontaneously fermented in steel tanks before being left on its fine lees to mature. After 8 months it was bottled without fining or filtration with a minimal amount of sulphur.
