This is an intentional rose comprised of Pinot Noir, Blaufrankisch and Zweigelt grown on the limestone hillsides of the Leithaberg mountains. In typical Lichtenberger-Gonzalez style there is a long, slow, cool, whole cluster, native yeast fermentation of the hand picked grapes. Their intent is a complex and evocative rose so bottling does not occur for a full year. This means these are grapes picked in 2019, a year renowned for balance and natural acidity. In the cellar the focus is patience and minimal intervention. Martin and Ariana always produce wines of immense focus, vibrance, and intensity. There is a hint of textural tannin, tons of complex berry fruit and crunchy, juicy vibrancy.
