A single parcel gorgeous expression of Blaufrankisch by Roland Vellich. His Burgundian take on the indigenous grape of Burgenland through this limited bottling from 4 parcels he owns in the Schwemmer vineyard. Schwemmer is an east facing vineyard planted from in the 1930s, 1960s and 1970s in sand over limestone. Highly aromatic with dark licorice notes, wild grasses and black cherries all with his signature mineral elegance. This is the second vintage where he has shown the individual terroir of Lutzmannsberg through separate bottlings. The 2020 vintage he says was cool and dry perfect for producing elegant wines of lower alcohol.
