Alte Schule means old school, an appropriate name for a fun take on a traditional Austrian table wine. It is pure Brundlmayer though as Philipp's unwavering precision is clearly visible- maintaining an elegant balance of creamy texture, crisp acidity. A touch of wood gives a hint of richness while it still finishes with a fine mineral lift. Comprised of 3 Burgundian grapes: Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, and Neuburger farmed organically from a mix of both young and old vines, some well over 50 years old. Notes of pear, peach, and subtle citrus zest. A touch of hay and spice frames the fruit.
