Third generation winemaker Stephan Orieux continues his father's work in the vineyards at their estate Domaine de la Bregeonnette, a pioneer in organic farming in Muscadet. They are located in Vallet, in the heart of Sevre et Maine, the most important area for the production of Muscadet wines in the Loire. The vines grow in a soil rich in mica-schist which imparts great purity, elegance and fruitiness. Pale green tinted lemon gold in the glass, this Melon de Bourgogne bursts with high-toned, wild yeast-driven aromas of schist-infused lemon-lime fruit, crisp yellow apples and raw almonds. Fresh and invigorating, the wine finishes with vibrant lemon and quince fruit buoyed by a soft, smoky minerality.
