A blend of aromatic white varieties grown on older estate hillside vineyards comprised of limestone and chalk within the city limits of Vienna. Dominated by Welschriesling, Gruner Veltliner, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc, the grapes are hand-picked and co-fermented. The winemaking process is characterized by minimal intervention: gentle pressing, aging in used French oak barrels. No fining or filtration, and minimal sulfur additions. This is a wine of great mineral character and vibrant acidity that continues to blossom with time in the glass.
