A collaboration between Josef Umathum of Weingut Umathum and Wolfgang Peck of Winzerkeller Andau working with small farmers with long standing contracts. Their aim? to showcase the distinct dry, warm climate climate of Lake Neusiedl, the UNESCO World Heritage site, that allows for near perfect ripening conditions of Blaufrankish. Evidence of Zantho's commitment to being green are many: wind turbine power utilizing the constant winds from the east, electric vehicles and charging stations. Their Blaufrankisch is a fresh and juicy take on the indigenous grape, with notes of cherry, plum and earth.
