With the Hidden Treasures projects Roland Velich (of MORIC) seeks out "undiscovered" winemakers who work with indigenous grapes to give them their due attention. With Hidden Treasures No. 1, we met Attila Homonna from the famed Tokaj region, whose own wines are spectacular. Here, the Hidden Treasure Project No. 2 is a cooperation with Tamas Kis from Somlo. A superbly aromatic and intensely evocative blend of 40% Harslevelu, 35%, Furmint, 25% Welschriesling grown in Somlo's pure basalt volcanic soils near the top of the mountain itself. Native yeast. Stainless steel with some used oak. Organic farming not certified.
