A brand new wine for us from Lichtenberger-Gonzalez. A Methode Traditionelle sparkling wine made from 100% hand-picked Blaufrankisch grown on limestone. It is a blend of 2021 and 2022 vintages. Native yeast fermentation. Unfined and unfiltered. Fermented must was added to the 2021 vintage in September of 2022 for the Tirage. It was disgorged in September of 2023. Like all Lichtenberger Gonzalez wines, this is a thoughtful wine with layers that reveal itself over time. Complex and beautiful with smoky notes of freshly baked bread and wild strawberries. Great creamy texture, pale soft pink in color, and a zesty elegance to the palate.
