This dry Chenin Blanc comes from the southern-facing, hillside vineyard of Varenne de Chanze. The Chenin Blanc vines here dig deep into the schist and weathered spilite, a type of basalt. The volcanic rock imparts tension and vigor to the wine. Natural and biodynamic winemaking principles are used. The wine spends 10 months on the lees in neutral barrels before bottling.
