Pluton emerges from the highest reaches of Clos des Mailles, from ancient blue schist and white quartz soils. Pierre Menard's flagship — just two barrels made — is biodynamically farmed, hand-harvested, and aged in sandstone amphorae, neutral barrels and a small stoneware jar. Dense and intensely aromatic, it nonetheless moves with a coiled, electric energy. This is Chenin at its most serious: luminous, taut, and built to reward patience.
