The second vintage of this new bottling from Hannes Schuster. The Dorfkultur Weiss is a blend of Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling and Furmint. Hannes acquired these older vines (up to 60 years old) in a couple of very small, new vineyards in an ideal locations. However, they do not produce enough wine to bottle separately and he did not want to blend them in to his villages wine so he created the Dorfkultur White and the Dorfkultur Red. The old vines provide aromas of green apples and pears, but herbs such as chamomile, lemon balm and the like are also represented here. On the palate there is an animating subtle bitter note - pink grapefruit - and also has a refreshing acidity. A very exciting wine.
